Education/Early Career
Dr. Schmidt graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with honors, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. In 1976, he would go on to achieve his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Marquette University. From 1976-1980, Dr. Schmidt served as the Director of Dentistry at Princeton Nursing Home.
The Practice/Recognition
Since opening his practice in 1983, Dr. Schmidt has been recognized and certified by the Wisconsin Dental Association, American Dental Association and Better Business Bureau. In 1988, he joined Aurora Medical Center in Milwaukee and has served as dentist ever since.
Community Service/Personal Life
Michael has also enjoyed many leading roles in local youth sports, holding positions as Commissioner of Greendale Softball, Athletic Director of St. Alphonsus in Greendale and a variety of coaching positions throughout his tenure in the district.
A family man, Dr. Schmidt and his wife of 35 years, Karen, have three wonderful daughters—Lauren, Terry and Kelly. To further his active lifestyle while also enjoying time with his daughters, he and the girls completed two half marathons in Door County and continue running in their free time.
